Registered on 11 February 2000, the charity is a community resource hub, supporting local residents with the aim of levelling up through the delivery of services and activities, working in partnership with other service providers to include statutory, voluntary/community and faith organisations. As the only community centre within the Evelyn Ward, the 2000 Community Action Centre is a resource Lewisham wide and cross boroughs. Our objectives are: the relief of disadvantage which disproportionately affects at least 75% of existing residents in the Evelyn Ward area, notable for a range of inequalities and poverty according to the Multiple Index of Deprivation.

Our centre also offers hall rentals for events and meetings, as well as a digital hub for individuals to access technology and learn new skills. Our mission is to make a positive impact on the lives of our community members and create a stronger, more connected neighborhood.
